It Just Take Time —
This project aims to educate and raise awareness about recent debates on gender equality in ballet. Despite the fact that ballet is becoming more accessible to a wider audience, it is still often perceived as an exclusive and elitist art form due to its historical associations with royalty and the middle class. The project consists of four zines that, when assembled, create a large poster featuring interviews about the future of ballet. The aim is to facilitate discussions on gender issues in ballet and to act as an educational tool for those who are unfamiliar with the art form. The unique mark-making in the poster was created through the use of ballet shoes covered in ink, symbolizing the combination of dance and activism in the fight for equality in ballet. The zine was riso-printed by Or Studio.
